02

The simple explanation

Two ways to use your solar

You can use the energy as it is made, store it for later—or combine both.

Questions people usually ask

Plain answers. No jargon.

01

Can renters have it?

Often, yes. Portable systems are particularly useful for renters. Ask your landlord or building manager before fixing panels or running permanent cables.

02

Can a business use it?

Yes. We can match a portable solar and battery setup to everyday appliances, temporary spaces, workshops, events and small workplaces.

03

Will it save me money?

It can reduce the electricity you buy. The result depends on daylight, panel position and when you use power. We give you a realistic estimate before you buy.

04

Can I take it when I move?

Portable panels and power stations can move with you. Fixed brackets and cable routes may need professional removal and refitting.

05

Does it work all year?

Yes, solar panels use daylight—not heat. They usually produce much more in spring and summer, and less during short winter days.

06

How many systems can I have?

You can add separate solar-to-battery systems as your needs grow. Anything connected to the mains must follow the current UK product and connection rules.

07

Can it charge an EV?

A portable system may contribute a small amount of energy, but it is not a replacement for a proper EV charger. We will tell you honestly if it makes sense.

08

Is it safe?

We match compatible equipment, secure the panels, protect and tidy the cables, and show you exactly how to use the system before we leave.

Latest UK update

What is actually happening with plug-in solar?

AUG
2026

The government intends to proceed with new rules for compliant plug-in solar products.

PISK will only supply mains-connected plug-in systems once suitable UK-compliant products can legally be sold and used. Portable solar-to-battery systems are a separate option.
